Soldiers listening to a speech on the defence of Upper Eygpt by the emperor Diocletian, Roman fresco, restored in 2007, in the Vestibule or second hypostyle room, , c. 301 AD, at Luxor Temple, built c. 1392 BC, under Amenhotep III, 18th dynasty, New Kingdom, and Tutankhamun, Horemheb and Ramesses II, at Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. Diocletian used Luxor temple as a garrison from 301 AD and this room was an ensign chapel. Thebes is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
