Runestone, Uppsala Cathedral, Uppland, Sweden
Runestone, with carved interlacing serpent and christian cross design and runic inscription stating Brand erected the stone for Karlung his father. Opir carved the runes, 1070-1100, Viking age, discovered 1975 in the cathedral, outside Uppsala Cathedral, built 1258-1435, in Uppsala, Sweden. 7 runestones were found during restoration and are displayed in the grounds outside.
