Viking runestones outside Uppsala Cathedral, in Uppsala, Uppland, Sweden. 7 runestones were found during restoration and are displayed in the grounds outside. On left, runestone with carved interlacing serpent design and runic inscription stating Tjaegn and Fasthed erected the stone for her husband, 1070-1100, Viking age, discovered 1866 in the foundation walls of the cathedral. On right, runestone with carved interlacing serpent and christian cross design and runic inscription stating Rikr and Holti and Fastgeirr erected the stone for Vigmarr, father and ship captain, carved by Likbjorn, 1020-50, Viking age, Ringerike style, discovered 1975 in the Hornska burial choir in the cathedral.
