Sacristan and safe, Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris
Patrick Kollannur, sacristan, opening the safe housing the sacred Crown of Thorns given by Saint Louis, in an apsidal chapel of the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris, or Notre-Dame cathedral, built 1163-1345 in French Gothic style, on the Ile de la Cite in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France. Louis IX built the Sainte-Chapelle in 1248 to house the relic. It was moved to the Bibliotheque Nationale during the French Revolution, then moved to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in 1801.
