Salle des Actes or Grand Salon, with white and gilded stucco decoration and painted ceiling by Pierre-Victor Galland, used by the University Council, in the Chateau de Valrose, built 1867-70 in Neo Gothic style for Russian baron Paul von Derwies, designed by David Grimm, Mikhail Makaroff, Antoine Beranger and Sebastien-Marcel Biasini, in Valrose, Nice, Provence, France. The chateau, set in a 10 hectare estate, is used by the University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis. It is listed as a historic monument and is part of the Nice UNESCO World Heritage Site.
