Salle des Etuves, Station Sanitaire, Marseilles
Salle des Etuves or oven room, restored, in the original Station Sanitaire, or Sanitary Station, built 1946-47 to screen the health of people entering the region by sea or air and control sanitation and epidemics, converted 2011 to the Musee Regards de Provence, a museum holding collections of art related to Marseilles, Provence and the Mediterranean, on the Avenue Vaudoyer, in the 2nd arrondissement of Marseilles, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. The original Station Sanitaire was built by Fernand Pouillon, Champollion and Rene Egger and its conversion was by Guy Daher and Thierry Durousseau. Picture by Manuel Cohen
