Salon des Mille Fleurs, Chateau de Langeais
Salon des Mille Fleurs, or lounge of a thousand flowers, with tapestries depicting animals and flowers, carved wooden furniture and fireplace, in the Chateau de Langeais, a Renaissance castle built 1465-69 by king Louis XI, on the river Loire in Langeais, Indre-et-Loire, France. Originally built in the 10th century by Foulques Nerra, it was rebuilt in the 15th century by Jean Bourre and Jean Briconnet. The chateau is listed as a historic monument and forms part of the Loire Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
