Salone d'Ercole, Castello Reale di Racconigi
Salone d'Ercole, or Hercules Room, transformed from an internal courtyard by Guarino Guarini in 1676, and renovated 1756-60 in Neoclassical style by Battista Borra, with the theme of Hercules as a metaphor for the House of Savoy, in the Castello Reale di Racconigi, royal palace of the House of Savoy, at Racconigi, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy. The sculptures are by Carlo Giuseppe Bollina and the ceiling is painted by Giovanni Pietro Lugano and Antonio Pozzi Lugano. The palace is part of the House of Savoy UNESCO World Heritage Site.
