Sculptural detail of the birth of the Virgin, from scenes from the Life of the Virgin, on the main portal, designed by Andres de Vandelvira, 1509-75, in Plateresque style, and carved by Esteban Jamete, 1515-65, at the Sacra Capilla del Salvador, or Sacred Chapel of the Saviour, designed by Diego de Siloe and Andres de Vandelvira and built for Francisco de los Cobos in 1536 in Spanish Renaissance style and consecrated in 1559, on the Plaza Vazquez de Molina, in Ubeda, Jaen, Andalusia, Spain.
