Sculpture, Cathedral of St Lawrence, Trogir, Croatia
Sculptures of the main entrance portal, Romanesque, c. 1240, by Master Radovan, of Trogir Cathedral, or Cathedral of St Lawrence, built 13th century onwards in Romanesque and Gothic styles, in the town of Trogir, on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, on the Adriatic Sea. The sculpted scenes depict the Labours of the Months, saints and apostles, and Eve standing on a lion. Trogir was founded by the Greeks in 3rd century BC and ruled by the Venetians until 17th century. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
