Gallo-Roman stela with relief sculpture of triton or sea god blowing a conch shell, used to announce arrival of a ship in bad weather, High Empire, 10-50 AD, reused in 16th century in Narbonne city walls, at the Narbo Via archaeological museum, designed by Norman Foster, opened May 2021, in Narbonne, Aude, Occitanie, France. The 76m long wall of stone in the Lapidarian Gallery displays over 800 Roman sculpted stones mainly from funerary monuments which were used in repairs to the medieval city walls, the collection of the former Musee Lapidaire.
