La Mediterranee or The Mediterranean, bronze sculpture by Aristide Maillol, 1861-1944, in the courtyard of Perpignan Town Hall, Languedoc-Roussillon, France. The original version of this sculpture, entitled Woman, was in limestone and dates to 1905, although it was later altered and recast in bronze. It has an alternative title, Thought'.
