Plaster bust of Alexandre Dumas (father), 1858, by Klemens Boryczewski, 1828-93, in the Musee Alexandre-Dumas, opened in 1905 in his home town of Villers-Cotterets, Aisle, Picardie, Hauts-de-France, France. A bronze version of this bust of 1858 is in the Societe des Amis d'Alexandre Dumas, and a stone version is on the facade of 2 Rue Alexandre Dumas in Paris. The museum is now housed in a 19th century mansion, and houses exhibits on Alexandre Dumas (the son), 1824-95, author and playwright, his father Alexandre Dumas, 1802-70, novelist and playwright, and his grandfather, General Alexandre Dumas or Thomas-Alexandre Dumas Davy de la Paillerteria, 1762-1806, a Creole general from Saint-Domingue.
