The Kiss, sculpture by Auguste Rodin, 1840-1917, plaster, c. 1927, after original of 1886, in the Ballroom off the monumental staircase in the Musee des Beaux Arts de Nice, a fine arts museum was founded in 1928 as the Palais des Arts Jules Cheret, housed in a mansion built 1878 for Elizaveta Vasilievna Kochubey, in Nice, Provence, France.
