Second courtyard, Ramesseum, Theban Necropolis
South side of the second courtyard, with Osiride pillars, depicting the king as mummified Osiris, and the fallen colossal statue of Ramesses II (right), at the Ramesseum, mortuary temple of Ramesses II, 3rd pharaoh of the 19th dynasty, New Kingdom, in the Theban Necropolis, Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. The Ramesseum was built in the 13th century BC under Ramesses II, with 2 stone pylons or gateways, courtyards and a covered 48 column hypostyle hall around the inner sanctuary.
