Secret letterbox of denunciation, for citizens to make complaints or report crimes, on the first floor gallery of the Doge's Palace or Palazzo Ducale, begun 1340 and built in Venetian Gothic style, Venice, Italy. It was the residence of the Doge of Venice, supreme authority of the former Republic of Venice, until the Napoleonic occupation in 1797, and is now a museum.
