Bibliiotheque du Senat, or Senate Library, a 52m long gallery in Neoclassical style, in the Palais du Luxembourg, 6th arrondissement, Paris, France. The library was built 1837-41 by the architect Alphonse de Gisors, 1796-1866, and decorated 1845-47 with a series of paintings by Romantic artist Eugene Delacroix, 1798-1863. Picture by Manuel Cohen
