Silver treasure, including shell dishes decorated with vines of the tree of life, used for church offerings; reliquary cross, scales and necklaces with animal head pendants, late Viking age, in Gamla Uppsala Museum, inaugurated 2000, at Gamla Uppsala, near Uppsala, Sweden. Gamla Uppsala was the historical residence of Swedish kings and an important religious and political centre from the 3rd century AD through the Middle Ages.
