So-called Palace of Theodoric, Ravenna, Italy
Facade of the so-called Palace of Theodoric or Palazzo di Teodorico, previously believed to be the royal residence of king Theodoric the Great, d. 520, Ostrogothic ruler of Italy, on the Via di Roma in Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The building is probably a guardhouse or gatehouse to the palace complex, built 7th - 8th century. Archaeological remains and mosaics from the actual palace complex are on display in a room here.
