St Stephens Cathedral, Hvar, Croatia
Renaissance style bell tower, 16th century, of St Stephens Cathedral, built 16th - 18th centuries, on Hvarska pjaca in the town of Hvar on south coast of the island of Hvar, off the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, in the Adriatic Sea. The cathedral was built on the foundations of an earlier 6th century early christian church. The town was a trading post and naval base for the Venetian Empire 13th - 18th centuries.
