St Stephen's Ordination to the Diaconate, 1495-1500, tempera, stucco relief and gold leaf on wood, by Vergos Group, in Gothic style, in the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. The painting depicts St Stephen being ordained in a ceremony by Bishop Julian, with an abandoned baby outside and 2 demons. This is a panel on the altarpiece of Sant Esteve de Granollers. The MNAC holds 13 panels from this altarpiece, of which 9 were painted by the Vergos workshop, and 4, part of the dust-shield, are attributed to Joan Gasco, d. 1529.
