Stained glass, Basilique du Sacre-Coeur, Paray-le-Monial
St Marguerite Marie Alacoque, 1647-90, mystic of the order of the visitation, praying at a cross with her parents watching, stained glass window, 1878, by master glassmaker Le Lorrain, in the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur, a Cluniac priory church built 12th - 14th century in Romanesque style, at the Notre-Dame Priory, in Paray-le-Monial, Saone-et-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France. The original monastery was built 973-77 and was joined to Cluny in 1090. The current building was begun in the 12th century and is listed as a historic monument. Picture by Manuel Cohen
