Stained glass window, Ambulatory, Bourges Cathedral
Descent from the Cross, with Joseph of Arimathaea taking down the body of Jesus, with the Virgin on the left and angels swinging censers above, from the stained glass window of the Passion, 1215-25, in bay 6, in the ambulatory of Bourges Cathedral or the Cathedrale Saint-Etienne de Bourges, built 1195-1230 in French Gothic style and consecrated in 1324, in Bourges, Centre-Val de Loire, France. 22 of the original 25 medieval stained glass windows of the ambulatory have survived.
