Statue of Archimedes, Grand Vestibule, Palais
Entrance Hall or Grand Vestibule, accessed from the Rue des Ecoles, with a statue of Archimedes by Alexandre Falguiere, 1831-1900, representing Sciences, in the Palais Academique at the Sorbonne, the main building of the University of Paris in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, France. On the red marble plaques, names of the donors to the University are listed. The Palais Academique today houses the seat of the chancellery of the universities and the academy of Paris.
