Statue of Bartolome de las Casas, 1484-1566, Spanish friar and historian, at the entrance to the Museo del Hombre Dominicano, founded in 1973 and designed by Jose Antonio Caro Alvarez, on the Plaza de la Cultura in the Colonial Zone, in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean.
