Charioteer of Delphi, bronze statue, c. 478-474 BC, consecrated by Polyzalos to celebrate his chariot racing victory in the Pythian Games, from the Sanctuary of Apollo, in Delphi Archaeological Museum, founded 1903, Delphi, Greece. The ancient city of Delphi was the seat of the oracle Pythia and the centre of the world to the ancient Greeks.
