Statue of Asclepius, god of medicine and son of Apollo and Coronis, detail, Greek, 2nd century BC, in the Museu Arqueologic d'Empuries or Empuries Archaeology Museum, on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain. The statue is made from 2 blocks, the bust made from marble from Paros and the body of Pentellic marble from Attica.
