Corner of stone tower with unfinished polygonal blocks, at the Lion Gate in the Upper City, Hattusa archaeological site, near Bogazkale, Corum, Anatolia, Turkey. Hattusa was the capital of the Hittite empire, built in the late Bronze Age from c. 1650 BC, on an older Chalcolithic settlement founded 6th millennium BC.
