Stucco decoration with putti playing lute and flute, in the concert hall, built originally as a theatre in 1869 by Mikhail Makaroff, at the Chateau de Valrose, built 1867-70 in Neo Gothic style for Russian baron Paul von Derwies, designed by David Grimm, Mikhail Makaroff, Antoine Beranger and Sebastien-Marcel Biasini, in Valrose, Nice, Provence, France. The chateau, set in a 10 hectare estate, is used by the University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis. It is listed as a historic monument and is part of the Nice UNESCO World Heritage Site.
