Sveti Stefan, Budva, Montenegro
Sveti Stefan, a fortified islet built 15th century, now a luxury resort, at Budva, on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro. The area was part of the Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Venetian and Habsburg empires. It is now a popular tourist area, with many southern Adriatic beaches in the Budva Riviera area.
