First tablet of the ritual of accession of king Tuthaliya I, performed in the presence of the king, Hittite, early 14th century BC, copy from 13th century BC, in Corum Bogazkoy Museum, housing finds from Hattusa archaeological site, in Bogazkale, Corum, Anatolia, Turkey. Hattusa was the capital of the Hittite empire, built in the late Bronze Age from c. 1650 BC, on an older Chalcolithic settlement founded 6th millennium BC.
