Temple of Khonsu, built 20th dynasty under Ramesses II, c. 1184-1153 BC, New Kingdom, in the Karnak Temple Complex, Karnak, Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. The temple includes a pylon, courtyard, hypostyle hall, barque shrine, sanctuary and chapels. On the right is the 9th pylon, built 1323-1295 BC by Horemheb. Karnak was developed c. 2055 BC - 100 AD, from the Middle Kingdom to the Ptolemaic Kingdom and most of the buildings date to the New Kingdom, dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut and Khonsu.
