Royal throne in the Sala del Trono, or Throne Room, remodelled from 1847 under king Charles Albert of Sardinia, in the Palazzo Reale or Palazzo Stefano Balbi, built 1643-50, designed by Pier Francesco Cantone, Michele Moncino and Giovanni Angelo Falcone, for Stefano Balbi and Giovanni Battista Balbi, on Via Balbi, in the Le Strade Nuove in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. The Royal Palace now houses the Museo di Palazzo Reale. The Strade Nuove or New Streets area, housing many palaces or Palazzi dei Rolli, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
