Tutankhamun and his wife Ankhesenamun, detail from facsimile replica of the Tomb of Tutankhamun, by Factum Arte, begun 2009, inaugurated 2014, under supervision of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, at the House of Howard Carter, 1874-1939, British archaeologist and Egyptologist, in the Theban necropolis, Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. Carter worked for Lord Carvarvon from 1907 excavating tombs in the Valley of the Kings, and discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun. The house is now a museum.
