Tombstone fragment with inscription in Greek and Latin referring to the dedication of a sanctuary to Serapis by Noumas from Alexandria, 1st century BC, in the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya, or Archaeology Museum of Catalonia Empuries, an archaeology museum housing artefacts excavated at Empuries, in L'Escala, on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain. Empuries is an ancient settlement founded in 575 BC by Greek colonists from Phocaea, settled by the Romans from 218 BC and abandoned in the Middle Ages.
