Tombstone of Dolca, wife of Jlia, with Hebrew inscription, found on the Carrer Sacsimort in Girona, 1240, in the Museum of Jewish History, opened 2000 in the Bonastruc ca Porta Centre, in the Call Jueu or Jewish Quarter, in the old town of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. The Jewish community in Girona grew from the 9th century and flourished from the 12th century, when the city housed an important Kabbalistic school, until their expulsion in 1492 under the Catholic Monarchs.
