Trobada del Canigo, Canigo, Pyrenees-Orientales, France
Meadow of broom bushes on the Trobada del Canigo, a ceremonial procession taking place annually on St John's Day from Fillols (and other villages) to the peak of Canigo, Pyrenees-Orientales, Occitanie, France. Accompanied by donkeys, people carry Catalan flags and vine sticks, in bundles labelled with their village, to light a fire on the summit in a celebration of Catalan tradition, resistance and identity.
