Beheading of St Denis, relief on the tympanum and lintel of the portal on the North transept, 12th century, at the Basilique Saint-Denis, Paris, France. The lintel depicts (left) Fescennius orders execution of St Denis, Rustique and Eleuthera and (right) they take communion.
