Skuldelev 5, a small longship or warship of the snekke type, c. 1030, with rail along hull used to attach shields, partially made from recycled timber, with 13 pairs of oars for a crew of around 30, at the Viking Ship Museum, or Vikingeskibsmuseet, a maritime history and archaeology museum for prehistoric and medieval ships, at Roskilde, on the island of Zealand, Denmark. A reconstruction of Skuldelev 5 was first made in 1991, as a yellow and red striped ship, Helge Ask. 5 Skuldelev ships were excavated from the water at Peberrenden, Skuldelev, in 1962.
