Fixture for passing the mainsail halyard, on Skuldelev 3 is a small trading and transport ship, byrding type, built in Denmark with 2 decks and a central open hold, for a crew of 5-8, c. 1040, at the Viking Ship Museum, or Vikingeskibsmuseet, a maritime history and archaeology museum for prehistoric and medieval ships, at Roskilde, on the island of Zealand, Denmark. Roar Ege is a reconstruction of Skuldelev 3 in the museum harbour. 5 Skuldelev ships were excavated from the water at Peberrenden, Skuldelev, in 1962.
