Villa Bethania (left), a large house designed by Tiburce Caminade and built 1901-5 for Abbe Berenger Sauniere and his housekeeper Marie Denarnaud, and the Eglise Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, built 11th century (right), in Rennes-le-Chateau, Aude, Occitanie, France. The hill village is best known for the Abbe Berenger Sauniere, 1852-1917, a priest who is thought to have discovered treasure and led many building projects in the village with his mysterious wealth.
