Villars Bedchamber, Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte
Villars Bedchamber, in the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte, designed by Louis Le Vau, 1612-70, and built 1658-61 for marquis Nicolas Fouquet, in Maincy, Seine-et-Marne, France. The room was originally part of Mme Fouquet's bedchamber but is now decorated in 18th century Rococo style. The bed with a scrolled head is by Felix Leroy, 1720-80, in Louis XV style. The chateau is built in Baroque style, with decoration by Charles Le Brun, 1619-90, and grounds designed by landscape architect Andre le Notre, 1613-1700.
