Tightly fitted wall foundation blocks in Building A, excavated from 1990, in the Tepelerarasi district of the Lower City in Sapinuwa, an ancient Bronze Age Hittite settlement, at Ortakoy, Corum, Anatolia, Turkey. Around 4, 000 tablets have been excavated from this building, dating to king Tudhaliya II, 15th century BC. It had several storeys and may have been a palace or administrative building, surrounded by ramparts. Picture by Manuel Cohen
