Gilded wooden sculptures by Filippo Parodi, 1630-1702, and Allegory of Winter ceiling fresco by Domenico Piola, 1627-1703, in the Sala dell'Inverno, or Winter Room, decorated in Baroque style by Domenico Piola, Nicolo Viviano, Muttone and Sebastiano Monchi, on the second floor piano nobile of the Palazzo Rosso, or Palazzo Brignole Sale, built 1675 in Mannerist style, on the Via Garibaldi, in the Le Strade Nuove in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. The Strade Nuove or New Streets area, housing many palaces, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The building houses the Strada Nuova Museums. Picture by Manuel Cohen
