Winter, 1673, from a series of tapestries on the seasons, after drawings by Charles Le Brun, 1619-90, and Beaudrin Yvart 1611-80, made by the workshop of Dominique de la Croix and the Gobelins, in the Antechamber of the Empress, Chateau de Fontainebleau, France. The Palace of Fontainebleau is one of the largest French royal palaces and was begun in the early 16th century for Francois I. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
