Aeroplane raid over Afganistan, 1919

An aeroplane used over Afganistan as part of the North West India frontier war in 1919. British planes were sucessfully employed to bomb native tribesmen, such as the Kazha section of the Madda Khel Waziris, into submission. Some tribesmen are shown here take cover by lying flat or hiding behind rocks
