 : British dug-out interior, WW1

British dug-out interior, WW1

A sketch of a dug-out billet behind the lines showing an officer comfortably curled up under the curved corrugated iron roof which forms the main structure of the dug-out. Above is a very heavy covering of earth which makes the interior a comparatively quiet abode. The dressing table, coat rack, lamp and bracket, stand for cane, little table for books and other impedimenta add to the comfort of the place
