Eton College Sports including Prince Henry

Sports at Eton College in 1916. In the bottom left and bottom middle pictures is Prince Henry (later Duke of Gloucester), climbing out of the water jump in the steeplechase and with an attested constable who is helping him with a sweater after the race. In other pictures: 1. J. L. Baker winning the junior high jump, 2. D.W. Gurney, winner of the Senior Steeplechase, 3. Hon. E. V. Rice, winner of the Junior Steeplechase, 4. I. J. Pitman winning the Junior Long Jump and 7. D. W. Gurney at the water jump in the senior race. Prince Henry came a very respectable twelth out of a field of 100 competitors
