French woman collects the tickets on the Paris Metro
As the need for more soldiers grew, many jobs normally carried out by men, women were brought in and trained to do their tasks. This illustration shows one such remplacante as she collects tickets on the French Underground. These ticket collectors were fondly known as clippies
