Mr. Georg Solti(1912-1997), KBE, musical director of Covent Garden, as drawn from life by Stephen Ward during an audition for The Midsummer's Night Dream, where Solti was guest conductor. Ward sketched several high profile figures specially for the Illustrated London News in 1961, but two years later he would become notorious through his involvement in the Profumo Affair
